The Winter School and Technology Tour for students and faculty members from universities in Oman was successfully held in March 2025 (Esfand 1403), hosted by Persian Gulf University in Bushehr. The program was designed to familiarize participants with the scientific, research, technological, and industrial capacities of Bushehr Province and received strong engagement from the Omani students and researchers.
Throughout the event, participants attended training workshops and specialized sessions, visited laboratories and research centers at Persian Gulf University, and learned about the university’s academic and scientific activities. The industrial component of the program included visits to major energy complexes in Assaluyeh and Jam—such as Fajr Jam Gas Refinery and Jam Petrochemical Company—which provided participants with a closer understanding of the region’s industrial capabilities.
The cultural and tourism segment of the program featured visits to historical, natural, and cultural attractions in Bushehr and Fars provinces, which were well-received by the guests.
The Winter School was held with the participation of faculty members and students from Iran, Oman, and Lebanon, and concluded with participants expressing their readiness to expand joint academic and educational collaborations.
